Higinio Guter hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

If Cesar Nardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Stephenson getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Maximiliano Hanni hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cesar Nardo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Humberto Mazuste. That made the score 0-2 in the 85 minute of play. Higinio Guter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Cesar Nardo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Stephenson's Humberto Mazuste. Humberto Mazuste was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chacarita FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
