Spectators: 6672 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Uriel Abancens made the kick off which started today's match. Caldera's Zeledon Bonadona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Gutierrez in the 7th minute of play. Robustiano Gutierrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nemesio Fagondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Bonadona having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robustiano Gutierrez in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Bonadona saved Caldera from getting behind. In the 13th minute, Herminio Pes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robustiano Gutierrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Bonadona having to interfere. Club Atlético Petrolero's Nemesio Fagondo got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robustiano Gutierrez in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Bonadona prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelo Gorosti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Abancens in the 23rd minute of play. Nemesio Fagondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Zeledon Bonadona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Robustiano Gutierrez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Petrolero's supporters rose to their feet, but Robustiano Gutierrez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Bonadona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Nemesio Fagondo came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Club Atlético Petrolero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Fagondo couldn't finish the play. Uriel Abancens hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The attack was good, but when Robustiano Gutierrez in the 34th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Nemesio Fagondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeledon Bonadona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nemesio Fagondo in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Abancens in the 41st minute of play forced Club Atlético Petrolero's goalkeeper Marcelo Gorosti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Robustiano Gutierrez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Bonadona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Fagondo in the 47th minute of play forced Caldera's goalkeeper Zeledon Bonadona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robustiano Gutierrez to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Fagondo in the 51st minute of play forced Caldera's goalkeeper Zeledon Bonadona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robustiano Gutierrez got free with Zeledon Bonadona in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Fagondo in the 56th minute of play forced Caldera's goalkeeper Zeledon Bonadona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nemesio Fagondo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeledon Bonadona having to make a save. Robustiano Gutierrez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Zeledon Bonadona skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zeledon Bonadona stood somewhat misplaced when Robustiano Gutierrez came free in front of goal and shot 0-1 to the left of him in the 74 minute. Robustiano Gutierrez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Zeledon Bonadona when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Robustiano Gutierrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Caldera booed when Club Atlético Petrolero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Gutierrez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Maximo Remir kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zeledon Bonadona. That made the score 0-2 in the 88 minute of play. In the 95th minute of the match Herminio Pes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeledon Bonadona showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nemesio Fagondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Zeledon Bonadona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
