Lions Pride FC's Jacinto Tono got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Fausto Godoy fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aguay's protests and gave Fausto Godoy a yellow card for diving instead. Fausto Godoy kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Lions Pride FC's Celedonio Bernat got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Hitzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Bernat in the 22nd minute of play. Jonatan Toribio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celedonio Bernat in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Hitzeder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celedonio Bernat took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Hitzeder. Jorge Hitzeder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After having played for 52 minutes, Fausto Godoy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Godoy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Aguay's goalkeeper Jorge Hitzeder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonatan Toribio. Celedonio Bernat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Hitzeder having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Lions Pride FC's Celedonio Bernat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Hitzeder narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
