Octavio Iturri didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Almagro's goalkeeper Teo Peru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yang Cheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Cirilo Johans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teo Peru was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Almagro's attentive Sadettin Akalp managed to snatch the ball when Tomás Guzman made a throw-in in the 17th minute of the game. After 18 minutes, Jeronimo Ondino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Croacia Fc and the Almagro players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Croacia Fc got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Ondino. 20 minutes into the game, Yang Cheng recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Humberto Beila. Yang Cheng showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Yang Cheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Almagro's Octavio Iturri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Beila narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Humberto Beila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sadettin Akalp in the 29th minute of the match. A collision led to Almagro getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Yang Cheng hit a great ball. Yang Cheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Croacia Fc's Humberto Beila got control of the ball when Octavio Iturri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yang Cheng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Beila having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Yang Cheng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almagro's supporters rose to their feet, but Yang Cheng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Beila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sadettin Akalp might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Beila. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sadettin Akalp ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernabe Gabrio was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Croacia Fc's Tomás Guzman got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 58th match minute, Almagro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Iturri to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Gonzalez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Beila having to interfere. Almagro's Octavio Iturri got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cornelio Eriz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Teo Peru made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Almagro's Walter-Adrián Samuel got a free kick in the 71st minute. Teo Peru was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tomás Guzman. Tomás Guzman charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Guzman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 74 minutes into the game, one of Croacia Fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Almagro a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Osvaldo Gonzalez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Croacia Fc's Humberto Beila. 2-1. Teo Peru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernabe Gabrio, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Osvaldo Gonzalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sadettin Akalp came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Almagro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sadettin Akalp couldn't finish the play. Octavio Iturri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto Beila having to make a save. In the 91st minute Osvaldo Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Beila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yang Cheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walter-Adrián Samuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Beila having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Almagro players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
