Julian Ramond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higinio Salvator kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Marcos Admon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Berbiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Angel Iraunkor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Ovidio Iraido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 33rd minute of the match Romulo Berbiz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Romulo Berbiz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Lezama AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Romulo Berbiz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Salvator in the 37th minute of play forced Cuervo FC's goalkeeper Marcos Admon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Danny Sparrow kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julian Ramond. That made the score 1-2 in the 38 minute of play. Marcos Admon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Iraunkor in the 43rd minute of the match.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Higinio Salvator in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Admon saved Cuervo FC from getting behind. Higinio Salvator sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cuervo FC's Marcos Admon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Cuervo FC from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes into the match, Lisandro Ezkerra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Admon, 1-4. Marcos Admon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Iraunkor in the 70th minute of play. Alvaro Txindoki might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Admon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvaro Txindoki ran back to his position shaking his head. If Danny Sparrow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Lezama AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Nerio came free, but Julian Ramond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Danny Sparrow's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julian Ramond was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. After 81 minutes of play, Cuervo FC's Danny Sparrow made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julian Ramond was left in no man's land by his defense there! 84 minutes into the match, Danny Sparrow notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Lezama AFC's Julian Ramond. Julian Ramond was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcos Admon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Salvator in the 88th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danny Sparrow in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julian Ramond prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute Danny Sparrow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Ramond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Salvator in the 96th minute of play forced Cuervo FC's goalkeeper Marcos Admon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lezama AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
