To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Neandertal's Edmund Luty got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9th match minute, Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimiro Neron to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 12 in the game by Edmund Luty from a close distance when the talented Wilfredo Aureo managed to make a qualified save. Talleres's players were relieved. Talleres's Wilfredo Aureo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Talleres from getting a goal against them. Vladimiro Neron took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victoriano Restu. Victoriano Restu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 44th minute, Edmund Luty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Lucas Lordi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmund Luty to make the kick off. Deportivo Neandertal's Victoriano Restu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Elija in the 53rd minute of play. Mateo Rosberg lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Mateo Rosberg hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes Deportivo Neandertal got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Cebo. Florentino Celio shot from long distance in the 94th minute, but Victoriano Restu was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Victoriano Restu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Nikola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute, Vladimiro Neron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victoriano Restu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The Deportivo Neandertal manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Talleres to win.
