Wilfredo Aureo came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Añatuya's Anselmo Fagondo. But to his dismay, Anselmo Fagondo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anselmo Fagondo to make the kick off. If Ivan Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Añatuya's Wilfredo Aureo threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anselmo Fagondo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Talleres reached it. A collision led to Añatuya getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Marco Niva hit a great ball. If Guaberto Mogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Añatuya's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
