In the 4th match minute, Añatuya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Fagondo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Navarro in the 10th minute of play forced Rawson's goalkeeper Guaberto Rutenio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Guaberto Rutenio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Fagondo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guaberto Rutenio having to make a save. With a little luck, Añatuya's Rosendo Belasko got control of the ball when David Ortle tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Rawson's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Fagondo came free, but Guaberto Rutenio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Guaberto Rutenio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Añatuya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Fagondo to maneuver through the defense. Haroldo Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Rosendo Belasko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Ciceron in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Añatuya's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after David Ortle fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 42 minutes into the match, Rawson's Gaspar Ciceron sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rosendo Belasko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Añatuya's Rosendo Belasko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Ciceron in the 44th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Gaspar Ciceron notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Añatuya's Rosendo Belasko. Rosendo Belasko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Rawson defense, Ivan Navarro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guaberto Rutenio. The Rawson fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto Rutenio should have stopped the shot. The Rawson players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Añatuya were winning 1-2.

The supporters of Rawson booed when Añatuya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Quinteros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rosendo Belasko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Ciceron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosendo Belasko came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Rawson's Gaspar Ciceron. But to his dismay, Gaspar Ciceron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 64th match minute, Rawson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Rius to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Rawson's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ivan Navarro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Ivan Navarro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 77th minute, Dalmacio Unax hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haroldo Vidal did an outstanding performance 78 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-3 to the right of an irritated Guaberto Rutenio in the goal. David Ortle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Belasko having to interfere. Gaspar Ciceron might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rosendo Belasko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaspar Ciceron ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Añatuya's zone, Gaspar Ciceron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Belasko came out of the goal and Gaspar Ciceron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Serafin Mambru took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 100th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rosendo Belasko. Añatuya's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Añatuya supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Añatuya would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
