A collision led to Travesía getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Orlando Dacio hit a great ball. Anselmo Fagondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Fagondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Francisco Cordeara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Anselmo Fagondo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Cordeara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Orlando Dacio hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Añatuya defense, Gualterio Toli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rosendo Belasko. The Añatuya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rosendo Belasko should have stopped the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Fagondo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anselmo Fagondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severiano Herensuge charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Herensuge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Travesía booed when Añatuya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Herensuge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute of the match, Benedicto Lluques got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rosendo Belasko was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Travesía players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
