Faraones FC's Marcelo Errolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Rufio in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Faraones FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ambrosio Todor hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Anselmo Fagondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Añatuya's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Fagondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Errolan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. After having played for 26 minutes, Anselmo Fagondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Añatuya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Fagondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Errolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Fagondo in the 32nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Anselmo Fagondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Añatuya's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Fagondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Errolan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Añatuya booed when Faraones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Daunte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teo Rufio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Errolan having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicasio Silban was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Añatuya getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Teo Rufio hit a great ball. Marcelo Errolan made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Ivan Navarro sent off a good shot on target. Anselmo Fagondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Fagondo might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Errolan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anselmo Fagondo ran back to his position shaking his head. Ivan Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Marcelo Errolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ivan Navarro came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Añatuya fans jumped to their feet. Marcelo Errolan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd match minute, Añatuya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Mederi to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Nicasio Silban put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rosendo Belasko.
