The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santos Miliano during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Jarill getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Santos Miliano hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the game, Gustavo Laurgain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jarill's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talleres the free kick. After 7 played minutes Jarill got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Laurgain. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jarill's goalkeeper Camilo Valentine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 14 minutes, Guaberto Mogel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talleres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guaberto Mogel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Mogel in the 16th minute of play forced Jarill's goalkeeper Camilo Valentine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Guaberto Mogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Valentine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Epifanio Unai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Wilfredo Aureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Valentine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Mogel, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Epifanio Unai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarill's Epifanio Unai got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guaberto Mogel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Jarill's zone, Laureano Jaume stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camilo Valentine came out of the goal and Laureano Jaume tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilfredo Aureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Palos, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Epifanio Unai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfredo Aureo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Laureano Jaume made a precise shot to the right of Camilo Valentine. Jarill's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Guaberto Mogel's late challenge caught a Jarill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guaberto Mogel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Guaberto Mogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute Epifanio Unai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Aureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Epifanio Unai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Palos in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilfredo Aureo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Unai in the 78th minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper Wilfredo Aureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Jarill's Cristian Palos got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 89th match minute, Jarill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Mederi to maneuver through the defense. Florentino Celio, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Wilfredo Aureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Palos in the 95th minute of play. Epifanio Unai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chants of Talleres echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Jarill had held the ball for most of the match.
