Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Pedro Restu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alonzo Nazario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Adolfo Garin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Alonzo Nazario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Trelew fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Pedro Restu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teofilo Remir during the 80th minute. Rafael Calzada's Adolfo Garin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Nazario in the 87th minute of play.
