The goalkeeper, Paulo Fonso, was totally fooled by Los Vengadores FC's Virgilio Quexal, who 6 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Godofredo Errolan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Paulo Fonso made a huge save. Alfonso Astudillo struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Humberto Azeari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SentimientoPesquero. If Orlando Sesuldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 played minutes Los Vengadores FC got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Bieito. Alfonso Astudillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SentimientoPesquero booed when Los Vengadores FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Roano didn't get a good kick on the ball. SentimientoPesquero's Alfonso Astudillo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Godofredo Errolan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Orlando Sesuldo fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SentimientoPesquero's protests and gave Orlando Sesuldo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SentimientoPesquero's Orlando Sesuldo got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Nemesio Erlantz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st match minute, Los Vengadores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Quexal to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Los Vengadores FC's zone, Ramiro Valentine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Humberto Azeari came out of the goal and Ramiro Valentine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Rodas charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Rodas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, one of SentimientoPesquero:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SentimientoPesquero. In the 44th minute, Godofredo Errolan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th match minute, SentimientoPesquero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Gartzi to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

SentimientoPesquero's Paulo Fonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Errolan in the 59th minute of play. After 73 minutes, Ramiro Valentine mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SentimientoPesquero and the Los Vengadores FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SentimientoPesquero's Ramiro Valentine got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Los Vengadores FC's Virgilio Quexal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 74th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SentimientoPesquero. 78 minutes into the match, Alfonso Astudillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Azeari. Los Vengadores FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso Astudillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 83 minutes into the match, SentimientoPesquero's Ramiro Valentine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Azeari narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th minute of the match SentimientoPesquero got a corner. Los Vengadores FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zeledon Froila ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Zeledon Froila got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Humberto Azeari quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Paulo Fonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Errolan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Astudillo got free with Humberto Azeari in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The SentimientoPesquero players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
