Humberto Azeari made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Rigoberto Ciceron sent off a good shot on target. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Domingo Calisto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 48th minute, Boca Juniors's Ambrosio Hechter seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ambrosio Hechter the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Boca Juniors protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ambrosio Hechter had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 48 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Hechter. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Virgilio Quexal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Vengadores FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgilio Quexal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saul Poz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Boca Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Los Vengadores FC were winning 0-2.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Boca Juniors:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Los Vengadores FC:s goal. A collision led to Los Vengadores FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jimeno Hotz hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Saul Poz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, Los Vengadores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Bieito to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Los Vengadores FC booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Osasun didn't get a good kick on the ball.
