After a rather tough play, CUBA LIBRE's Artemio Francho got a free kick in the 12th minute. Diego Bihar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Cesar Ler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesar Ler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Bihar's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Aurelio Urre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Felo having to interfere. After 26 played minutes CUBA LIBRE got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Pelagius. In the 30th match minute, CUBA LIBRE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cirilo Pelagius to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Diego Bihar in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. CUBA LIBRE's Cesar Ler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Bihar in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Diego Bihar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rumi AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Bihar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Bihar struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Cesar Ler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rumi AFC. 45 minutes into the match, Rumi AFC's goalkeeper Cristian Felo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelio Urre. CUBA LIBRE's Aurelio Urre got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Agustin Abreu made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, CUBA LIBRE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Omero to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Rumi AFC's Saverio Estevez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 58th play minutes Diego Bihar shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Cesar Ler and just under the crossbar into goal. Dalmacio Bautista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cesar Ler came out and tried to block the shot, but Dalmacio Bautista slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 64th minute. Cristian Felo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Abreu in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Rumi AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clodoveo Burni to maneuver through the defense. Agustin Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Diego Bihar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmacio Bautista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Ler having to interfere. Cesar Ler made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Diego Bihar sent off a good shot on target. Aurelio Urre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aurelio Urre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in CUBA LIBRE's zone, Diego Bihar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Ler came out of the goal and Diego Bihar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rumi AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
