After having played for 7 minutes, Alejo Olayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salinas Atletic Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejo Olayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tacanas FC's zone, Godfredo Rodriguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saverio Maidana came out of the goal and Godfredo Rodriguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gaspar Teodor came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Tacanas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Teodor couldn't finish the play. Esteve Ritchie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eliseo Odilon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saverio Maidana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Odilon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saverio Maidana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Rodriguez in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Godfredo Rodriguez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saverio Maidana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godfredo Rodriguez's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Godfredo Rodriguez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saverio Maidana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Saverio Maidana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Godfredo Rodriguez went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Saverio Maidana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Rodriguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amancio Porfirio during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tacanas FC booed when Salinas Atletic Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Porfirio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Godfredo Rodriguez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salinas Atletic Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godfredo Rodriguez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Zacarias Beturian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Godfredo Rodriguez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alejo Olayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Maidana having to interfere. Godfredo Rodriguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Godfredo Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Rodriguez in the 80th minute of play forced Tacanas FC's goalkeeper Saverio Maidana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godfredo Rodriguez in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saverio Maidana saved Tacanas FC from getting behind. Gaspar Teodor came free in the 85th minute and tried to tip the ball over Adrian Garin, but to the joy of Salinas Atletic Club's supporters the ball went over. Gaspar Teodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Garin having to interfere. Salinas Atletic Club's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
