With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliseo Cordearo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute of the match, Delmiro Cordarius got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nicasio Anaya was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Karlo in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseo Cordearo saved Northampton from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremias Bizi during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicasio Anaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Txerran in the 35th minute of the match. With a little luck, Los Lechuzos's Nicasio Anaya got control of the ball when Jeremias Bizi tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Moises Txerran came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Northampton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Txerran couldn't finish the play. Los Lechuzos's Aurelio Rocendo got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rodrigo Cordarryl kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Victor Gaskon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliseo Cordearo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Eliseo Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Karlo in the 74th minute of play. Jeremias Bizi got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 76th minute, Jeremias Bizi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Northampton's Delmiro Cordarius fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Nunez Tximitx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nunez Tximitxs short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Eliseo Cordearo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Los Lechuzos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Lechuzos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
