Spectators: 7203 (Terracing: 5404, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Oscar Gilen started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute Rogelio Goiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nemesio Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Paskal kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Javier Gonzales who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Nemesio Batista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. La Naranja Mecanica's Miguel Galoer couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Josecito. In the 21st match minute, Josecito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Baldovino to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes, La Naranja Mecanica's Miguel Galoer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tadeo Ciano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Naranja Mecanica reached it. Nemesio Batista made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Javier Gonzales sent off a good shot on target. La Naranja Mecanica's Nemesio Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Goiz in the 26th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, La Naranja Mecanica's goalkeeper Nemesio Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Javier Gonzales. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Gilen in the 36th minute of play forced Josecito's goalkeeper Tadeo Ciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Javier Gonzales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Josecito's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Paskal came free, but Tadeo Ciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rogelio Goiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nemesio Batista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogelio Goiz ran back to his position shaking his head.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rogelio Goiz made a kick off. In the 60th minute Javier Gonzales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nemesio Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nemesio Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Gonzales, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Luis Paskal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Naranja Mecanica's Nemesio Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Gonzales in the 71st minute of play. La Naranja Mecanica's Luis Paskal got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, La Naranja Mecanica's Oscar Gilen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tadeo Ciano. Tadeo Ciano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Oscar Gilen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Ciano having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Sergio Olentzaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Josecito's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio Olentzaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nemesio Batista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
