Concepción's Braulio Olando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Isias in the 22nd minute of play. When Iker Isias came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Sarasa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iker Isias couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aaron Mincho got free with Celestino Rexino in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sarasa's Celestino Rexino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Sarasa from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Sarasa getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ariel Oihan hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Pedro Cambranes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iker Isias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Braulio Olando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The Concepción fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Braulio Olando should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Concepción's Hilario Porfirio got a free kick in the 72nd minute. If Benedicto Cloyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute.
