In the 16th minute, Ulises Mero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celestino Rexino was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Isaac Clodio kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Freddy Arlo's late challenge caught a River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Arlo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sarasa getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Freddy Arlo hit a great ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when River Plate's Raul Chaime in the 26th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Celestino Rexino was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Sarasa through an amazing save. 29 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Isias came free, but Nicanor Nayely reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicanor Nayely showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Cloyo in the 33rd minute of the match. River Plate's Nicanor Nayely played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Isias in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Sarasa's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Chaime came free, but Celestino Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicanor Nayely showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Cloyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raul Chaime stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ulises Mero hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 2-1 became the score in the 52nd minute when Iker Isias elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Sarasa's Benedicto Cloyo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicanor Nayely narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Freddy Arlo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Nicanor Nayely made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Iker Isias sent off a good shot on target. Nicanor Nayely showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Cloyo in the 71st minute of the match. Sarasa's Celestino Rexino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Mero in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Ulises Mero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulises Mero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ariel Oihan fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarasa's protests and gave Ariel Oihan a yellow card for diving instead. Ulises Mero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celestino Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Mero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celestino Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Chaime in the 89th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raul Chaime in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celestino Rexino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 94 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Severino Jon. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Iker Isias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Nayely came out of the goal and Iker Isias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
