Eulalio Cresencio might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carmelo Qwinton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eulalio Cresencio ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Barea in the 10th minute of play forced Argento Team's goalkeeper Carmelo Qwinton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmelo Qwinton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Barea's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Argento Team's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Barea came free, but Carmelo Qwinton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Argento Team's Carmelo Qwinton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Argento Team from getting a goal against them. Erasmo Medina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Celio, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Marco Barea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carmelo Qwinton was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Carmelo Qwinton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Barea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 37 minutes, Marciano Vincente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argento Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Vincente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marciano Vincente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erasmo Medina having to make a save. When Argento Team's Marcial Celio in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santa Clara's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Marcial Celio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argento Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Celio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Medina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the game, Marciano Vincente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Erasmo Medina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Barea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marciano Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erasmo Medina made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Marciano Vincente sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Cresencio in the 87th minute of play forced Argento Team's goalkeeper Carmelo Qwinton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santa Clara's Erasmo Medina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Celio in the 89th minute of play. When Marcial Celio came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Argento Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Celio couldn't finish the play. Erasmo Medina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Celio in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Marciano Vincente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argento Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Vincente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
