The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rene Aurre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Cristos in the 3rd minute of the match. Talita's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Edelmiro Cristos scored to the left of an out of position Rene Aurre, making the score, 1-0. Wilfredo Argina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilfredo Argina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Edelmiro Cristos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lisandro Tomi during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Xeneizes del Oeste was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Tomi to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Fagondo struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Santo Asier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talita. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugenio Maraman in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santo Asier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santo Asier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Maraman, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Eugenio Maraman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Santo Asier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edelmiro Cristos was the one to do the kick off. Wilfredo Argina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Eugenio Maraman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugenio Maraman in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santo Asier saved Xeneizes del Oeste from getting behind. After having played for 87 minutes, Wilfredo Argina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xeneizes del Oeste's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Argina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eugenio Maraman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugenio Maraman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Asier having to interfere. When the match was over Talita could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Xeneizes del Oeste throughout the match.
