But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristo Nuno couldn't finish the play. Teodoro Joanes charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodoro Joanes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tobias Vincente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Jacindo having to interfere. In the 16th minute Alfredo Gelmiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Bikendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Matador de Paso's zone, Omar Luix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Generoso Jacindo came out of the goal and Omar Luix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Generoso Jacindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Vincente in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Liebig's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Gelmiro came free, but Niceto Bikendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gogo Fraco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Niceto Bikendi. Liebig's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Niceto Bikendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Gelmiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Vincente in the 43rd minute of play forced Matador de Paso's goalkeeper Generoso Jacindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haroldo Faro's late challenge caught a Liebig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Faro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Matador de Paso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Faro to maneuver through the defense. Tobias Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Luix struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Generoso Jacindo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liebig. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tobias Vincente was the one to do the kick off. Feliberto Fe kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Liebig's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cristo Nuno 59 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Liebig's Niceto Bikendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Nuno in the 67th minute of play. Alfredo Gelmiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Bikendi having to interfere. After 72 minutes of play Matador de Paso's Haroldo Faro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 73 played minutes Matador de Paso got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Faro. The supporters of Liebig booed when Matador de Paso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Nuno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matador de Paso's Generoso Jacindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Vincente in the 78th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Alfredo Gelmiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matador de Paso's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Gelmiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niceto Bikendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teodoro Joanes struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute.
