Spectators: 7329 (Terracing: 5498, Seating: 1686, VIP seats: 145) Club Atletico Lugano's Ezequiel Pereyra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Severino Dalmau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nazmi Nejat having to make a save. After having played for 4 minutes, Arnulfo Tohias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PROvincianos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnulfo Tohias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th match minute, Club Atletico Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Medina to maneuver through the defense. Basilio Giraldo, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Paulino Frutos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Nazmi Nejat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salvador Eladio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Pereyra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nazmi Nejat came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by PROvincianos FC's Arnulfo Tohias. But to his dismay, Arnulfo Tohias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Severino Dalmau struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Nazmi Nejat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PROvincianos FC. PROvincianos FC's Arnulfo Tohias got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Frutos in the 27th minute of play forced Club Atletico Lugano's goalkeeper Nazmi Nejat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnulfo Tohias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nazmi Nejat having to interfere. Salvador Eladio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roman Romero in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Arnulfo Tohias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Dalmau in the 33rd minute of play forced Club Atletico Lugano's goalkeeper Nazmi Nejat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Dalmau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. PROvincianos FC's Basilio Giraldo got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 44 minutes, Severino Dalmau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PROvincianos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Dalmau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Severino Dalmau put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Nazmi Nejat. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Nazmi Nejat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulino Frutos in the 60th minute. With a little luck, Club Atletico Lugano's Nazmi Nejat got control of the ball when Basilio Giraldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Lugano's goalkeeper Nazmi Nejat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Anselmo Medina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basilio Giraldo, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Domingos Monte fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Lugano's protests and gave Domingos Monte a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of PROvincianos FC booed when Club Atletico Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Monte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Lugano's Ezequiel Pereyra got a free kick in the 75th minute. Severino Dalmau who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Nazmi Nejat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 81st minute Severino Dalmau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nazmi Nejat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Dalmau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Club Atletico Lugano getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Domingos Monte hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Roman Romero notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of PROvincianos FC's Salvador Eladio. Salvador Eladio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
