Azcurra AFC's Augusto Petri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Frasco in the 15th minute of play. Fidel Lizardi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, one of Azcurra AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Azcurra AFC. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Liga Aves de Bernal. Iker Sayvion stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Augusto Petri. 0-1. Rigoberto Diaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Azcurra AFC's Jacinto Mikolas got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 39th match minute, Azcurra AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Mikolas to maneuver through the defense. Rigoberto Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Petri having to interfere. Augusto Petri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Estevez in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Rigoberto Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liga Aves de Bernal's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Diaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Petri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 54 minutes into the match, Liga Aves de Bernal's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Selatse came free, but Marcial Cristos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Petri was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Rigoberto Diaz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rigoberto Diaz really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Liga Aves de Bernal played a much better game than Azcurra AFC and deserved their victory. The Azcurra AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
