The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maximiliano Rey succeeded in the game's 4th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Oscar Frasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Frutos, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Oscar Frasco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulino Frutos went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Crespo's zone, Arnulfo Tohias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Frasco came out of the goal and Arnulfo Tohias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evelio Artaldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Oscar Frasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, PROvincianos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Rey came free, but Salvador Eladio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Villa Crespo's Domingos Fagildo got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 32 minutes, Severino Dalmau made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Villa Crespo's Oscar Frasco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodoro Ibar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oscar Frasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Artaldo in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Teodoro Ibar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PROvincianos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Ibar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodolfo Ubarna during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Villa Crespo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Ubarna to maneuver through the defense. After the first half PROvincianos FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Oscar Frasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Dalmau in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes in the game, Paulino Frutos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Oscar Frasco having to interfere. Severino Dalmau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Frasco having to interfere. If Braulio Paskal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Evelio Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Dalmau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Oscar Frasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salvador Eladio came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Villa Crespo's Braulio Paskal. But to his dismay, Braulio Paskal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Severino Dalmau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Frasco made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Arnulfo Tohias sent off a good shot on target. If Paulino Frutos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PROvincianos FC played a much better game than Villa Crespo and deserved their victory. The Villa Crespo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
