With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saul Ederono prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the game, Primates's Generoso Fernado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saul Ederono made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Primates's zone, Feliciano Rayman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylwester Tarasek came out of the goal and Feliciano Rayman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aquiles Paio kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Primates's Sylwester Tarasek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Rayman in the 30th minute of play. Alfonso Gasteiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Ederono having to interfere. Patricio Gorosti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saul Ederono read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After the first half Primates were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliciano Rayman to make the kick off. Alfonso Gasteiz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Saul Ederono when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
