Vinicio Mattin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Todor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 31 in the game by Pascual Uxio from a close distance when the talented Carlos Romano managed to make a qualified save. Zapala FC's players were relieved. Mario Santiago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Carlos Romano made a huge save. The supporters of Birmingham City booed when Zapala FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustaquio Todor didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mario Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pascual Uxio in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Romano saved Zapala FC from getting behind. Marcial Dino kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Birmingham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Botello to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodolfo Egun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vinicio Mattin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustaquio Todor in the 56th minute. Marcial Dino's late challenge caught a Zapala FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcial Dino helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Birmingham City got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Dino. Mario Santiago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mario Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Romano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Santiago in the 75th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Birmingham City got a freekick which was hit by Severino Botello. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by Birmingham City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jacinto Orlo was slow to take the kick. During this time Zapala FC's players had a chance to rest. Pascual Uxio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pascual Uxio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Carlos Romano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
