Rivec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualterio Isidor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute Generoso Abechuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Balendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Javiar struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Cristian Balendin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rivec. When Rivec's Generoso Abechuco in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Generoso Abechuco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Cristian Balendin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Placido Cuartio's late challenge caught a Rivec's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Placido Cuartio helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Generoso Abechuco put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cristian Balendin. In the 68th minute, Generoso Abechuco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Balendin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Isidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Adolfo Quirze ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haşmet Tuney was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 76 minutes into the match, Estrella Roja's goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Abechuco came free, but Cristian Balendin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Balendin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Generoso Abechuco went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rivec had played much better football throughout.
