Celedonio Chepe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Chayo having to interfere. Ignacio Raymon charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignacio Raymon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Santamarina's Santiago Chayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Quiroga in the 21st minute of play. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Celedonio Chepe sped through Santamarina's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Santiago Chayo. Mariano Afonso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from German Abad. After a rather tough play, Santamarina's Justino Txaran got a free kick in the 31st minute. Justino Txaran might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Afonso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justino Txaran ran back to his position shaking his head. Esteban Cortez charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esteban Cortez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Santamarina booed when Soldevilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Cortez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Santamarina players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Soldevilla were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseo Quiroga made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Edgard Aurken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santamarina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Aurken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgard Aurken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Mariano Afonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celedonio Chepe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santiago Chayo having to make a save. In the 67th match minute, Santamarina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Frances to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Arotza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Santiago Chayo. Santamarina's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edgard Aurken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santiago Chayo stood somewhat misplaced when Eliseo Quiroga came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 78 minute. Mariano Afonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Isaio in the 84th minute of the match. A collision led to Soldevilla getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Gaspar Frances hit a great ball. Eliseo Quiroga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgard Aurken in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mariano Afonso saved Soldevilla from getting behind. The Soldevilla players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
