The audience thought a goal was coming when Marciano Harriet got free with Bruno Laffitte in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Bruno Laffitte managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Larrea's Arnaldo Birjaio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arsenio Fernendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaldo Birjaio in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Laffitte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruno Laffitte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marciano Harriet, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Niupi FC's zone, Arsenio Fernendo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Laffitte came out of the goal and Arsenio Fernendo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marciano Harriet might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Laffitte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marciano Harriet ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Marciano Harriet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Larrea's supporters rose to their feet, but Marciano Harriet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Laffitte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mateo Jakue struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Bruno Laffitte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Larrea. Arnaldo Birjaio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Bruno Laffitte skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Larrea fully deserved thier win.
