Robustiano Rio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Epifanio Espiridion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robustiano Rio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Crespo's Virgilio Maule played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Quinteros in the 46th minute of play. Virgilio Maule made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Martinez in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Efrain Cayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Damaso Odilon's late challenge caught a Crespo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damaso Odilon helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Heavy's Damaso Odilon got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Robustiano Rio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Efrain Cayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
