Cecilio Txomin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Refik Ayçetin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Maldonado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cecilio Txomin came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Sportivo Backyardigans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Txomin couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Refik Ayçetin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Osorio in the 16th minute of play. If Alonzo Maldonado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Maldonado in the 19th minute of play forced FC Martin's goalkeeper Ahmet Refik Ayçetin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmar Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Refik Ayçetin having to interfere. Freddy Tolino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Marcial Mino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 played minutes FC Martin got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Baleren. Ahmet Refik Ayçetin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Txomin, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Cecilio Txomin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alonzo Maldonado struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Ahmet Refik Ayçetin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo Backyardigans.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cecilio Txomin was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Cornelio Osorio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportivo Backyardigans and the FC Martin players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Apolo Sasoin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Tolino in the 59th minute of play forced Sportivo Backyardigans's goalkeeper Marcial Mino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st match minute, Sportivo Backyardigans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Maldonado to maneuver through the defense. If Cecilio Txomin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, FC Martin's Freddy Tolino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcial Mino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alonzo Maldonado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Refik Ayçetin having to interfere. Alonzo Maldonado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Bonifacio Salvator lost his temper 91 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Apolo Sasoin's late challenge caught a Sportivo Backyardigans's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Apolo Sasoin helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Martin fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 98th minute. Penalty! The FC Martin fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sportivo Backyardigans were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
