After a rather tough play, Monasterio AFC's Gaston Dantae got a free kick in the 36th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bonifacio Elivareo during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, Bonifacio Elivareo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Modesto Ikatz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After 45 minutes of play Uspallata's Jonas Montae was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 46 played minutes Uspallata got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Montae. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nereo Buinton to make the kick off. Uspallata's Silvano Bastian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Uspallata from getting a goal against them. If Gaston Abadia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Geofredo struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Dario Lop didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uspallata. Nereo Buinton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvano Bastian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Buinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonio Olayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaston Abadia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Bastian having to interfere. When Bonifacio Elivareo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. 88 minutes into the match, Uspallata's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Abadia came free, but Silvano Bastian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvano Bastian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Olayo in the 90th minute. Gaston Abadia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Bastian having to interfere.
