Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hermengildo Aguilera kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes FC's Astor Brais got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Angel Raulo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Nemesio Geleberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Estudiantes FC's Silverio Ekialde got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 8 played minutes Tala AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cecilio Luar. After 10 minutes of play, Estudiantes FC's Hermengildo Aguilera made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Israel Quirce was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silverio Ekialde in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Israel Quirce saved Tala AFC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Angel Raulo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tala AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angel Raulo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nemesio Geleberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Tala AFC's zone, Silverio Ekialde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Israel Quirce came out of the goal and Silverio Ekialde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 minutes, Hermengildo Aguilera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estudiantes FC and the Tala AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes FC's Hermengildo Aguilera got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estudiantes FC's goalkeeper Nemesio Geleberto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Angel Raulo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Hermengildo Aguilera struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Israel Quirce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes FC. When Astor Brais fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes FC's protests and gave Astor Brais a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Estudiantes FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Astor Brais hit a great ball. Hermengildo Aguilera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Quirce having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Donato Pudes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estudiantes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tala AFC the free kick. A collision led to Estudiantes FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Donato Pudes hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodoro Pacorro in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nemesio Geleberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 42nd match minute, Estudiantes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Pudes to maneuver through the defense. Tala AFC's Israel Quirce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Aguilera in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
After having played for 54 minutes, Cecilio Luar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tala AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cecilio Luar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodoro Pacorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes FC's Donato Pudes got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Teodoro Pacorro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes FC's Nemesio Geleberto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 62 minutes, Teodoro Pacorro made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Estudiantes FC's Nemesio Geleberto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Froilan Checa's late challenge caught a Estudiantes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santos Elizardo missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 69 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Nemesio Geleberto right hand side. 75 minutes into the match, Tala AFC's Teodoro Pacorro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nemesio Geleberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Estudiantes FC's Hermengildo Aguilera in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tala AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Israel Quirce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Ekialde in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Teodoro Pacorro made a precise shot to the right of Nemesio Geleberto. Estudiantes FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Tala AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Hermengildo Aguilera scored to the left of an out of position Israel Quirce, making the score, 3-2. Tala AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Estudiantes FC for a fine match.
