The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Silvano Bastian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto Avellaneda in the 8th minute. Saverio Erdiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Geofredo in the 9th minute of play. Bonifacio Elivareo hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Vladimiro Donio hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Uspallata's Basilio Hibai couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Talleres. When Uspallata's Danilo Geofredo in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jacinto Avellaneda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Silvano Bastian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Jacinto Avellaneda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Vladimiro Donio fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talleres's protests and gave Vladimiro Donio a yellow card for diving instead. Talleres's Saverio Erdiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Ikatz in the 40th minute of play. If Danilo Geofredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes of play, Uspallata's Modesto Ikatz made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Saverio Erdiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Modesto Ikatz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Avellaneda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Silvano Bastian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 53rd minute of the match Bonifacio Elivareo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bonifacio Elivareo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Bonifacio Elivareo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the game, Talleres's Jacinto Avellaneda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvano Bastian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 60 minutes of play, Talleres's Tiburcio Cucao made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvano Bastian was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Medero during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th minute Tiburcio Cucao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jacinto Avellaneda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Geofredo scored 2-4 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saverio Erdiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Talleres's Saverio Erdiano got control of the ball when Danilo Geofredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vladimiro Donio kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Silvano Bastian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Cucao in the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Talleres's zone, Danilo Geofredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saverio Erdiano came out of the goal and Danilo Geofredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvano Bastian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Cucao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uspallata's Silvano Bastian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Cucao in the 97th minute of play. The Uspallata supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Uspallata would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
