The crowd rose to their feet as Ciudacita AFC's Teobaldo Derwin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anacleto Acuña. That made the score 1-1 after 15 minutes of play. When Balcosna FC's Evaristo Argi in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Anacleto Acuña was a little too slow when Teobaldo Derwin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-1. Miguel Maria's late challenge caught a Balcosna FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Maria helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Balcosna FC booed when Ciudacita AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Maria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Montae struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. German Txatxu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balcosna FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teobaldo Derwin in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anacleto Acuña prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafael Patrido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balcosna FC's Enrique Montae got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The supporters of Balcosna FC booed when Ciudacita AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Dino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alonzo Lohitzun during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Balcosna FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! Miguel Maria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Anacleto Acuña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teobaldo Derwin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Acuña having to interfere. Abelardo Oier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Teobaldo Derwin came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Ciudacita AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Derwin couldn't finish the play. When Ciudacita AFC's Abelardo Oier in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 76th minute Teobaldo Derwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Acuña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anacleto Acuña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Derwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anacleto Acuña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Oier, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Abelardo Oier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Anacleto Acuña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
