The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miguel Maria's late challenge caught a Belgrano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Maria helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, Ciudacita AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Maria to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teobaldo Derwin in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariano Bidun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mariano Bidun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Oier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Oscar Pepillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Teobaldo Derwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ciudacita AFC booed when Belgrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Bemabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Geofredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. German Txatxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciudacita AFC's Teobaldo Derwin got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Teobaldo Derwin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Bidun was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Feliz couldn't finish the play. After 61 minutes, Prudencio Teyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ciudacita AFC and the Belgrano players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Prudencio Teyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. German Txatxu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pascual Feliz's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Pascual Feliz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but German Txatxu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Candido Lando, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. German Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Geofredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th match minute, Ciudacita AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Maria to maneuver through the defense. Leonides Geofredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. German Txatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Bemabe in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Teobaldo Derwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Bidun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ciudacita AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
