Amadeo Salamon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Ladislao Fernado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ladislao Fernado was a little too slow when Baldomiro Pueblo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Silvio Montxo's late challenge caught a Tilingo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvio Montxo helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Puerta de hierro FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Montxo. Benicio Tulio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliciano Asur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidro Lleir in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benicio Tulio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ladislao Fernado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Salamon, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Maximiliano Oihan charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximiliano Oihan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ladislao Fernado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeo Salamon's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the game, Antonio Walme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tilingo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Puerta de hierro FC the free kick. Benicio Tulio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Lleir in the 26th minute of the match. Rolando Corderun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ladislao Fernado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Isidro Lleir notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Puerta de hierro FC's Benicio Tulio. Benicio Tulio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Amadeo Salamon took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Ladislao Fernado to make any attempt to save it. In the 42nd minute, Antonio Walme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute Silvio Montxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Fernado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ildefonso Mateus to make the kick off. Feliciano Asur struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Benicio Tulio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tilingo FC. The supporters of Puerta de hierro FC booed when Tilingo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Calvet didn't get a good kick on the ball.
