But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Gartzi couldn't finish the play. Angelo Galtero's late challenge caught a Oratorio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Galtero helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, Carnaval Canalla FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Galtero to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 60 played minutes, Carnaval Canalla FC's Primitivo Marko shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ermegildo Enekoitz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carnaval Canalla FC reached it. The supporters of Carnaval Canalla FC booed when Oratorio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Dominix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matias Benvido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ermegildo Enekoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Lekubegi in the 69th minute of the match.
