The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Silverio Playo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Leocadio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Obeko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Eulalio Orlondon made a huge save. If Silverio Playo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Palmitas FC's Vicente Leocadio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Playo in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Palmitas FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Geronimo Rumaldo hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, Yacanto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Rumaldo came free, but Eulalio Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Bernardino Lixandro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Vicente Leocadio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 48th minute, Palmitas FC's Leonel Mattin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Eulalio Orlondon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Rumaldo in the 88th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Yacanto FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Matxin. Leonel Mattin struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Yacanto FC's zone, Emiliano Oliviero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eulalio Orlondon came out of the goal and Emiliano Oliviero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Yacanto FC getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Lino Alonso hit a great ball. Gonzalo Demesio hit a great freekick 101 minutes into the match. In the 102nd minute Ladislao Sengrat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Orlondon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Palmitas FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
