Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Agustin Fernado kicked off to start the match. Casimiro Peruxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Crescencio in the 4th minute of the match. Marcial Menendo struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Anibal Tiso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jorge Newbery. Bernardo Crescencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danilo Cibran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Tiso having to interfere. After 17 minutes, Enrique Firmo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jorge Newbery and the Cereales players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jorge Newbery getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Enrique Firmo hit a great ball. Casimiro Peruxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Fernado, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Teo Dino kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Agustin Fernado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Casimiro Peruxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Bernardo Crescencio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cereales fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. It was a penalty for Jorge Newbery! 37 minutes into the game, Cereales's Amado Galtero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casimiro Peruxu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 48 minutes into the match, Cereales's Bernardo Crescencio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casimiro Peruxu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcial Menendo was the one to do the kick off. Danilo Cibran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anibal Tiso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcial Menendo went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Marcial Menendo sped through Cereales's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anibal Tiso. Guaberto Iago charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guaberto Iago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cereales booed when Jorge Newbery was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Iago didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes Cereales got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo George. After 64 played minutes Cereales got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Quirce. Anibal Tiso came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Jorge Newbery's Marcial Menendo. But to his dismay, Marcial Menendo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustin Fernado in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casimiro Peruxu saved Jorge Newbery from getting behind. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jorge Newbery! When Bernardo Crescencio came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Cereales fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Crescencio couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, Cereales's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Menendo came free, but Anibal Tiso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Cibran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anibal Tiso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. With a little luck, Jorge Newbery's Casimiro Peruxu got control of the ball when Agustin Fernado tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Danilo Cibran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jorge Newbery had won after a very even match.
