Fulgencio Christobal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Guardamonte getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Fulgencio Christobal hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Saul Mateus put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Humberto Hanot. Humberto Hanot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Mateus, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Fabricio Walme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Gaspard in the 68th minute of play forced Guardamonte's goalkeeper Humberto Hanot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fulgencio Christobal's late challenge caught a RIVER PLATE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavio Gaspard in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Hanot saved Guardamonte from getting behind. Fabricio Walme charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabricio Walme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saul Mateus in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Hanot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guardamonte players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for RIVER PLATE.
