Anibal Tiso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anibal Tiso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Gaspard, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Anibal Tiso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Gaspard in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The wind increased when Agustin Fernado made the kick off in the second half. Saul Mateus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Tiso having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Flavio Gaspard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Tiso was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 93rd minute Agustin Fernado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Silviano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. RIVER PLATE walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
