The Jorge Newbery fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Hilario Cisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Peruxu having to interfere. The supporters of Jorge Newbery booed when Alpasinche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Azeari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Cibran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Emilio Bernaldo made a huge save. After some careless play in the Alpasinche defense, Modesto Orlandus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emilio Bernaldo. The Alpasinche fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emilio Bernaldo should have stopped the shot. Placido Inocente scored 2-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casimiro Peruxu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Inocente in the 47th minute of play forced Jorge Newbery's goalkeeper Casimiro Peruxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Casimiro Peruxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Placido Inocente in the 52nd minute of play. Emilio Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Menendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Jorge Newbery getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Teo Dino hit a great ball. Placido Inocente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Casimiro Peruxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casimiro Peruxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Inocente in the 59th minute of the match. After 59 minutes, Evaristo Gumaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alpasinche and the Jorge Newbery players grew even worse after the yellow card. Angelino Maiorga charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelino Maiorga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute of the match Ulises Tavio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emilio Bernaldo skillfully saved the ball. Danilo Cibran struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Emilio Bernaldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jorge Newbery. After 87 minutes, Marcial Menendo made it 5-2 with a short kick to the right side. Alpasinche's Emilio Bernaldo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 92 minutes into the match, Alpasinche's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Menendo came free, but Emilio Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jorge Newbery's Danilo Cibran in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
