They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Claudio Inocente made the kick off in the second half. Marco Fonda received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Gaizkine came out and tried to block the shot, but Marco Fonda slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 51st minute. Marco Fonda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ricardo Gaizkine made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, Chacarita Undertakers's goalkeeper Ricardo Gaizkine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Fonda. Chacarita Undertakers's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Claudio Inocente 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. If Eduardo Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erasmo Nicholas hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Defensores de Lugano's zone, Bernardo Romelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicasio Bitxintxo came out of the goal and Bernardo Romelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 82 played minutes Claudio Inocente rounded Chacarita Undertakers's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. 86 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Egoi came free, but Nicasio Bitxintxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
