The referee ignored Club Atlético Balvanera's protests and gave Nicolas Kauldi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Atlético Balvanera getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Club Atlético Balvanera's Aurelio Nabar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Rey in the 23rd minute of play. Ediberto Vides scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pascual Quintun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pascual Quintun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto Vides in the 36th minute of the match.
