The Esta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Tono should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the game, Christian Anaya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto the free kick. Celedonio Isias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Tono read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Gabriel Beliran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Oscar Tono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaias Umea kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Bruno Feo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Gabriel Beliran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Tono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Witalis Kosel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Feo's late challenge caught a Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jimeno Luix to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto's Witalis Kosel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oscar Tono. That made the score 0-4 after 57 minutes of play.
