The supporters of Batán AFC booed when Vitmer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Luzea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Batán AFC's Marcelino Iratze got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Ur got free with Hugo Palben in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauricio Ur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hugo Palben tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Batán AFC got a freekick which was hit by Simon Maiorga. When Mauricio Ur, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hugo Palben was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 32 minutes of play Vitmer's Gavino Frances was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Batán AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silverio Cordaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Batán AFC's Hugo Palben proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Batán AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vitmer's goalkeeper Denis Ponc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Silverio Cordaro made a precise shot to the right of Denis Ponc. Vitmer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Agustin Maiorga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hugo Palben came out and tried to block the shot, but Agustin Maiorga slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauricio Ur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Denis Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Cordaro in the 52nd minute of the match. Patricio Sindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeronimo Crispo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With his leg Denis Ponc managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Batán AFC's Patricio Sindo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Vitmer's Agustin Maiorga got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Patricio Sindo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Denis Ponc made a huge save. In the 68th minute, Casimiro Virila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Ur in the 69th minute of play forced Batán AFC's goalkeeper Hugo Palben to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Ponc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patricio Sindo in the 71st minute. If Silverio Cordaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patricio Sindo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Denis Ponc made a huge save. Silverio Cordaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Ponc having to interfere. When Generoso Matia fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vitmer's protests and gave Generoso Matia a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Vitmer's Generoso Matia got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 87th match minute, Vitmer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Matia to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Sindo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Sindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Ponc having to interfere. Denis Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Cordaro in the 98th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Batán AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
