After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Diamantino Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Membrillar's supporters rose to their feet, but Diamantino Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Peio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Godfredo Iratxo charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godfredo Iratxo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The tension between the Contra Viento y Marea and the Membrillar players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th play minute Diamantino Travassos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Abelardo Peio. 3-1. Abelardo Peio made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Diamantino Travassos sent off a good shot on target. Abelardo Peio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Efrain Dabi's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The supporters of Contra Viento y Marea booed when Membrillar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Lia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Lisandro Guillelmus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

51 minutes into the game, one of Contra Viento y Marea:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 52nd minute there was a penalty for Membrillar. Diamantino Travassos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abelardo Peio. 4-1. 57 minutes into the match, Contra Viento y Marea's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Dabi came free, but Abelardo Peio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Lisandro Guillelmus could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Adam Regecký however easily saved by the left post. Patricio Omero kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 64th minute Patricio Omero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Peio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Contra Viento y Marea's Abelardo Peio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Suarez in the 79th minute of play. Abelardo Peio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diamantino Travassos in the 83rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Omero in the 89th minute of play forced Contra Viento y Marea's goalkeeper Abelardo Peio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Patricio Omero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Membrillar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Membrillar's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
